Blood after urination

I've felt sick every day since I've found out I'm pregnant which is probably only due to stress but this morning is the worst. I woke up around 630 having to use the restroom but when I urinated it burnt and was very uncomfortable. When I wiped there was a tiny bit of bright red blood. I also have been feeling more nauseated than ever. I'm extremely worried!

Hi and thanks for using the forum.

It sounds like you could possible have a urinary tract infection.  These can be common during pregnancy.  You should call your ob/gyn about your symptoms.  He or she can do a simpe urine test to determine if you have an infection and then can prescribe an antibiotic if it is necessary.  In the meantime, be sure to drink plenty of fluids.  This will help flush out your urinary tract and help prevent the infection from worsening.

Another possibility is a vaginal infection (such as a yeast infection).  These can also be diagnosed by your ob/gyn and there are vaginal creams as well as medication that you can take by mouth to get rid of these.

Make sure you call your ob/gyn ASAP.  This way you can get whatever this is treated and you will start feeling better- it can be tough enough being pregnant, never mind being sick on top of it.  Good luck.

You could have a uti (urinary tract infection) which is normal in pregnancy. If you have not washed right or been having sex to often or even not wiping right can cause it. If its worried you enough you should contact your ob/ gyn and let them have a look. Cause you really don't want to let it get to far. I had one and they gave me gel that I had to insert like a tampon but it worked really great. (:
