Dark brown Vaginal Dicharge
Since April, 2011 my periods have been abnormal. I would be 1 - 2 weeks early to 1-2 weeks late every month since. My original period start date was around the 17th of every month.
This past cycle I started on the 6th, which was very early considering only went a week and a half between. Well now For the past 4 days I have had this Very Dark brown discharge, it was slightly heavy at first so I had to use a tampon
( TMI ) I know. When I removed it.. there was also Dark brown clot like stuff. but for the past few days its been more like spotting. I have looked things on on Web MD and googled, the things I am finding have to do with cancer?!?!?!
NOW... I have had adnormal paps ...off and on, one time normal, next time abnormal but thats as for as it went.
Could I really be looking at some type of possible cervical, vaginal or uterine cancer?????????

Since this irregularity has been going on since April, I think you should see your ob/gyn. There are many possiblities for this change in your period including a hormone issue, thyroid issue, ovarian cyst, change in weight or diet, etc. I do not think you need to worry about cancer at this point. However, I do think it is worth seeing your ob/gyn and having a pelvic exam and a pap smear if you are due for one. Since you have had abnormal paps in the past, then you need to be vigilent in having pap smears done as recommended by your doctor. This is the best way to prevent cervical cancer- be vigilent. Hey I am having a kinda similar problem I have had fairly regular periods the past year or so coming around the 20th of every month then in july I started working out real heavy and skipped my period it came on the 11 of august and lasted a week ( it was normal) do I figured it went back no normal just a different time of month but two weeks ago I started spotting just a little when I wipe and maybe a spot on my panties but nothing major except it's lasted for two weeks now then last night I was cramping and today when I got home from work I found very dark brown thick discharge in my panties but once I wiped it went back to just light pink like the spotting ... I'm worried because I have never have spotting like this or this dark discharge I have frequently had a few dark spots in the past but nothing more then a spot here and there and so I too googled it to se stuff about cancer and now I'm worried and have no insurance so I'm stuck lol idk I thought I might be pregnant when it all first started but now I'm just worried. I hope u find an answer if your like me your probably worrying yourself crazy lol
