Low grade fever in evenings with weight loss

I am a male aged 30 years. Around 3 weeks back I experienced chills one night with an oral temp of 104.5 deg. Unfortunately II did not get investigated for blood test, My doc suspected malaria and advised (chlorquinine phosphate)10 tabs within 2-3 days and one each after a 6 days gap which I am on with (completed 14 tabs till date). I was prescribed to take  novamox 250 , completed 31 caps along with asprin in first week of my illness,
though i started feeling better in 1st 4 days of my ilness. But now, since past 10 days I experienced a bad diarrhea that accompanied by rashes and itching that started off  on my stomach, uppershest, neck ,back also hands legs
stays for a few hours i have been put on Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium capsules for rashes and indigestion to counter diarrhea as adviced by physician. Due to this  I got to do my blood report only 10 days back  where my malaria and G6PD test for malaria came out negative and CBC count came out in normal ranges.Cholestrol normal, sugar normal.Though ESR came out to be higher around 40 (which should had been upto 10) as in my case. Though I have got some relief from diarrhea and itching . What is worrying me  is that from the time since my illness started I have been gradually  decreasing weight in this  3 week period I have not lost my appetite on  contrary I have started to feel more hungry but   still I have  lost around 9-10 pounds in this 3 week period which is a concern.  Also since past 10 days I have been experiencing a low grade oral temperature which never exceeds 99.2  only in evenings for a few hours (which makes my forehead feel hot and eyes feel to burn). In mornings it ranges between 98 to 98.4.  A light sore throat persists since past 10 days (but not painful)
I am concerned and very afraid about my health as I feel that my illness is taking me far and getting complicated. A low grade temperature with weight loss is my primary concern. Kindly please help.

I forgot to add that I've never see rash with malaria, only "mosquito bites" or marks from where the mosquito bite the person.

I know the malaria meds ending in "quin" often cause itching.

Hi and thanks for using the forum.

The weight loss may be the result of all the diarrhea and from generally not feeling well.  Also, the medication you are taking can also cause some abdominal distress.  I would go back to your doctor again since you continue to have the fever.  I am not that familiar with malaria (I only know that I don't want to get it) so I can't really be sure if these symptoms are to be expected.  Good luck.
