Morning sickness (which can last all day) is not uncommon during pregnancy. If very severe, there are medications that you can take to help ease the nausea, but you need a prescription for this and it should be a last resort. Have you tried eating some dry crackers when you first wake up? I often felt that I was a lot more nauseous when my stomach was empty, so I used to eat crackers right away in the morning and keep them in my purse for emergencies. Also, sipping ginger ale or sucking ginger chews can help. If nothing seems to work, discuss this with your ob /gyn. Good luck and congratulations!
