Does Phentermine cause rash

I have been taking Phentermine for about a week and I have a lot of red, ichy bumps (they look and are symptomic as mosquito bites generally behave).  If I didn't know better I would think they were mosquito bites!  They are contained on my torso, sides and back - these presented after about 3 days on Phentermine, and I cannot belive that I would end up with 30+ mosquito bites in one day - they all appeared overnight.  Can this be a reaction to the Phentermine?

You are likely developing hives as an allergic reaction. It could be from the phentermine, but could also be a reaction to something you ate or came in contact with, such a new soap, detergent, or lotion. Since the rash developed 3 days after starting phentermine, it's not likely the cause - allergic reactions usually develop soon after taking the medication.

Hi - I am taking Phen short term to get past the plateau.  I lost 130 pounds and have been stuck for 2 months, but the Phen seems to be working - lost 8 pounds in 6 days.  I only have 30 pills and am being monitored by my doctor.  15 pounds to goal and then just have to maintain it!  Thanks!

This could be a reaction to your new medication, but it is also possible that it is a reaction to something else you came in contact with, an infection or something else. You should stop taking the drug, and go to the doctor.

Furthermore.... if you have a lap band why are you taking a dangerous and addictive weight suppressant?  Phentermine has many side effects that can be serious and dangerous including pulmonary hypertension and addiction. If you have had surgery to help weight loss you should be waaay past the point of using drugs.
