citalopram with alprazolam

I am on citalopram 5mg for depression.

Is it safe to take 0.25mg of alprazolam thrice a day for one day with this?

I am flying out and am going to take the alprazolam for one day...is it okay??

Doctor had said it's safe...just confirming.

Also can you take vitamins with citalopram or can they interact?

Hi there, I have another question.

I have an upset stomach (diarhhoea) and nausea, just nervous about flying.

I usually take Domperidone 10mg for nausea

and I capsule Loperamide Hydrochloride 2 mg for upset stomach.

Is it safe to take these along with Xanax 0.5mg and the citalopram 10mg?

Yes, Ativan or Klonopin would be fine as well. Usually, the medication is taken about 1 hour before the flight.

Yes, it is safe to take the alprazolam for flying with citalopram.  Most multivitamins should be fine, however, it is not recommended to use herbal products such as St. John's Wort, Kava Kava, and valerian with citalopram.
