red rice yeast

I have a problem lower my colestral and heard about red rice yeast. Is it okay to take it with what I already take? I am looking for something to help naturally to get off as many of the medicines I take as possible. Also can you let me know of anything for lower blood pressure and sugar levels?

You should not take red rice yeast with Crestor.  Some natural ways to treat high blood pressure are to increase aerobic exercise, limit salt intake to 2,400 mg, trying to eat at least 3,500 mg of potassium a day, from foods such as yogurt, cantaloupe, spinach, and bananas, limit alcohol consumption, and even trying some forms of meditation. Some supplements that may help with blood sugar are GTF chromium, magnesium, Alpha-lipoic acid, and Coenzyme Q10. Please talk with your doctor before taking any suppplements.

I have stopped taking my Crestor because it does nothing for me. I have not lowered my colestral with it or Lipitor. So I thought I would try something else and see if it works. My blood pressure has been under control since they took my thyroid out and I take medication. My problem is my sugar levels and my colestral. That is why I was wondering about red rice yeast.
