My mother is aged around 40+ yrs, and she is suffering form Asthma from very long time.
During the winter season it will be still more, due to chill climate. And if she is doing somethign with cold water also she will get immediately, it will be in continuous cough even sometime she will not be able to breath.

She is having this for more years now.

Can you please suggest what can be done to control this ?

You can take natural supplements to reduce inflammation and antihistamines for allergies. You can use albuterol inhalers when breathing becomes difficult. I wish that my condition were in fact reversible, but control is the best that I can accomplish..

Asthma is a chronic inflammation of the bronchial tubes (airways) that causes swelling and narrowing (constriction) of the airways. The result is difficulty breathing. The bronchial narrowing is usually either totally or at least partially reversible with treatments.

I have asthma. For a while I was taking the occasional small does of Xanax to combat one of the side effects of inhales steroids. Like all asthmatics I suffer in cold weather and if I have to go outside can barely breathe. One day I took a small dose of Xanax for the other condition and found to my surprise that I could tolerate the cold without any problems.

Although I avoid going outside in cold weather, when I must I take .25 mg Xanax and I am just fine. But one has to be very careful with this medication because it is addicting. I never use it more than once or twice a week, and never on a regular basis. I think it works in the cold because it relaxes your chest.
