More likely from prednisone and its friends.
I think my immune system may be messed up from antibiotics
By the way, everything you are taking is drying to the lungs. Not a good idea.
All I can do is give you my experience with the boilerplate recipe that doctors have for COPD. First on their list is steroids. It should be last. I firmly believe that. But that is only my opinion. What is fact and not opinion is that steroids cause osteoporosis, injure your immune system, cause adrenal fatigue, and who knows what else.
I don't know what is right for you. I certainly what was right for me.
I noticed also on prednisone that after I take it at 30mg I feel a little better and have a bowel movement (have blood in my stool and have GERD)
I hope it doesn't mean I have an autoimmune disease like Crohn's
I do have low cortisol. the thing is my FEV1 is stuck at 73 for over a year on symbicort/singulair and I thought that 80% at least is the goal
do I have COPD or asthma? isn't there a metacholine test or should I get a bronchoscopy?
I think I'm having memory problems, sleep apnea so that's why I wanted anti-IGG xolair
like what kind of naturals? I think I need at least symbicort/dulera. is it safe to take 30mg prednisone for a few days? I did it for one and it seemed to help me feel a little less inflamed but even at this dose I am still wheezing when I exhale
this nasty doctor gave me 30mg prednisone for a week and I don't trust him so I'm not sure if this is a safe dose
I would go to natural anti-inflammatories and get off the Symbicort. I got off steroids because they worsened my condition and gave me adrenal fatigue to boot. The prednisone is even worse than the inhaled steroids. You should not be suffering such exhaustion given your FEV1 which suggests only mild COPD. You might want to check your adrenals (saliva and 24 hr. urine). I suspect the beginnings of adrenal fatigue.
Given your mild condition, you should not need more than an inhaler or a nebulizer. If you have a problem with mucus then you can add Mucomyst. And if you have allergies, then an anti-histamine. From my experience I would say you are taking too much stuff.
