LUPUS?

HI! Im a 20 year old white female who just wants to be healthy already! The conditions I have been diagnosed with are gastritis, sports enduced azsma, migraines, and internal hemhrroids. I had mono about 2 years ago, and ever since then I have been going down hill. The mono was very severe and it put me in the hospital off and on. During the time of my mono, I would throw up if I stood up, pass out if I stood up, or have an instant migraine if I stood up. The mono went away, but ever since then I havent felt the same. I have been having so many different symptoms that I do not know where to start with. I have had a past of fainting, which has never been figured out yet. Over the past few months, I have had chest pain in my upper left chest area that comes and goes throughout the day. It is a dull & achy pain, but I sometimes have sharp pains. I was hospitalized for this pain and they did all kinds of tests that ruled out anything cardiac. They did say that I had pericarditis though... I also get bad heartburn (due to the gastritis) but every medicine I have tried has not helped it. I have been experiencing a lot of bloating, a feeling of fullness, constipation, extreme body/muscle/joint pains, my knees and elbows really hurt when I wake up and sit for a long period of time, I am always tired no matter how much sleep I get, my neck hurts, my hands and feet are always cold and super pale, I have been loosing my hair, having heat flashes, pressure in my head when I bend over that accompanies ringing in my ears, I have been VERY forgetful, frequent urination & thirst, abdominal cramps after eating, dizziness, tingling in hands/outter arms/feet, shortness of beath when I lay down, lower & mid back pain on the sides of my back, and a feeling as if I have a ball in the back of my throat.  I was trying to research about what it could be and I read that lupus effects the tissues and causes many organs to get inflammed. Do you think the gastritis, pericarditis, passing out, and other symptoms could all be related to Lupus? I also have had really bad & frequent bladder infections growing up.

The one thing that is excellent in my life is my marriage, school, & work. I do not have a lot of stress, so I do not believe it is stress related or anything mental. Do you have any ideas what it could be? I was thinking something like Lupus or maybe Gastroparesis? I forgot to add that they are having me test my sugar levels at home right now, and they have been in the high 60's or low 70's in the morning. So they believe I might be hypogylcemic, but I am not sure if this explains all of these symptoms. They also tested my iron and b12 level, but they were both normal with the exception that my b12 was on the low side. I have been taking 1000mcg a day of B12 which has not seemed to help my fatigue and tiredness.

I go to the doctors next week, but I was just wondering if you had any ideas about what this could be.
Thank you.

I also agree with kjelltp.

But some of your symptoms do sound like lupus, but sometimes CFS (chronic fatigue) will follow mono.  It's wild what all the symptoms of CFS are.

There are 11 criteria of lupus, you need 4 of the 11 for a lupus dx.  They are:
1. malar rash (butterfly rash)
2. discoid rash - red raised patches
3. photosensitivity - reaction to sunlight, resulting in skin rash
4. oral and or nose ulcers
5. arthritis
6. serositis - inflamation of the lining of the lungs or heart
7. renal disorder - excessive protein in urine and or cellular cast
8. neurologic disorder - seizures or psychosis
9. anemia or low WBC or lymphopenia or low platlet count
10. positive ANA
11. positive anti-DNA, anti Sm, or antiphospholipid antibody or false pos. syphilis test

Other symptoms are:
fever
abdominal pain
chest pain
shortness of breath
blood in urine
hair falling out
fatigue
muscle pain and weakness
dizziness
poor memory
headaches
poor circulation in fingers and toes
tingling in extremities
diarrhea
bloating
nausea
weight loss
blurred vision
depression
heart palpatations
raynauds (where fingers turn white when cold)
intollerance to cold
sore throat
...to name a few

Keep in mind that fibromyalgia, CFS, MS and lymes disease also have similar symptoms.

If you have anymore questions please feel free to ask.  We all want to be here for each other.

Oh by the way, B-12 shots are better absorbed than pills or sublingual pills.  They might also want to check your vit D level.  That can also make you feel bad...muscle weakness, bone pain, etc.

Ive had a lot of your symptoms.  I doubt orthodox medicine has much to offer you, with all those systemic issues. It may be autoimmune.   You need to reevaluate your diet, lifestyle and supplements.    I would highly recommend finding a good holistic ND or MD and start there.  Normally they will work on your GI system (make that healthy) + some kind of detox and a proper diet (mostly veggies and organic foods).    It works for a lot of people,  Natural healing is the way to go.
