If there are no elevated antibodies, then its not Hashimoto.
There are technically three hypothyroid groups:
1)general hypothyroid with thyroid gland still intact; its not necessarily permanent and has no elevated antibodies, thus its not a disease and has no disease name, just a description of "hypothyroidism"
2)Hashimoto's disease, is by description, autoimmune hypothyroid with elevated thyroid antibodies (above the acceptable limit) .
3)hypothyroidism from surgical removal of thyroid gland
