Where do I go next

Had neck injury at work Oct. 10,2007.  MRI. Neurosurgeon disagreed with radiologist. Said my bulging disc is not pressing on nerves.  Neurologist says I am healthy.  Diagnosed with cervical radiculitis.  Physical therapy not helping.  I get squeezing pain over head behind left eye. Left arm is almost always heavy and painful with surges of pain sporatically.  I have a laundry list of symptoms.
I have had no other testing except manual muscle testing, x-ray, & MRI.

Who do I see next?  What tests should I be getting to figure this out?  If anyone has any helpful information I would greatly appreciate it.  I am a personal trainer and need to be able to use my arms for my job.  Right now I can't because I am in a lot of pain afterword.

thanks for your reply.  I have an appt. with another neurosurgeon soon.  Also inquiring about  vertebral or carotid artery dissection....my symptoms hit home with that one.  I will fill you all in after my appt.  I'm hoping that at least they will order more tests to help figure this out.  Hope you all are well.

I totally agree with dreamnightly....get a second opinion from another neurosurgeon.  When you make the appt. tell them what you're coming in for and bring the radiology report as well as the MRI. I don't know if the MRI was done with or without contrast, but if there is any question of whether the nerve is being compromised by the disc, they may want you to have further tests. Good luck!  Jo

I would suggest seeing a different neruo. I had one doctor turn me away, while another  said it should have been operated on years ago.  Because I waited, I ended up having permanent damage.  Second and third opinions are a great option.

Good Luck
