loss of feeling in left arm

1 month ago i woke up at 3a.m. to what sounded like a pop noise while sleeping,it was then that i experienced incredible, steady, (not throbbing) pain in the center of my chest cavity,2 minutes later my left arm went knumb,i swallowed 2 aspirin and drank alot of water, feeling came back in my arm about 15 minutes later, the feeling in my arm only came back about 80%,and has remained since,i have a constant prickling feeling in my hand and fingers, loss of strength also in arm, there is now a soft lump in my armpit, and the pain in my chest has not gone away, just subsided or i have gotten used to it-somewhat. i have not gotten proper rest since, from the pain in my chest cavity, every 2 hours i wake up in agony, this also happens to be the area in which i had taken a severe hit to the ribcage from an assailant with a baseball bat, result from blow was, punctured lung, collapsed lung,1 broken rib,2 fractured ribs, this happened in 1992,i have tried excercising back body and chest with stretches and movement in all directions, this doesn't work,i have tried sleeping on the floor on my back, this feels better but fails to correct problem,i have gone to the clinic, they hooked up e.k.g. my pulse rate is 20 points slower pulse  whatever that means, the doctors appointment is 2 weeks away,is this a medical problem or chiropractic problem? also am experiencing occasional dizziness and loss of focus in my eyesight,,is this all from a pinched nerve? or is there a probability of added problems....all my 47 years of life i have been strong and healthy,no smoke no drink, large body frame, was physically strong,6'1",,205#'s......don't spare the facts sir,,ma'am,,,,all is appreciated thank you have a good day.....bryant race

I am concerned that your ekg showed a slower rate and that you're experiencing dizziness. I really think you should call and tell them these things along with the pain in your chest and arm and try to get in earlier! It may be a pinched nerve, but the slower HR concerns me that something else (maybe swelling or something else) may be going on especially since you've sustained an injury as well. I'm a RN but I haven't been working for the last three years so I may be rusty, but I think you need to get in the sooner the better!
