Crohns

Is gastric bypass or lap band surgery recommended for someone with Crohn's disease?

Crohns (late onset) runs in my family, so I asked my surgeon about this. He said there is no add'l risk. I had a gastric bypass - roux-en-y, am 16 months out, and doing great with it. Good luck, whatever choice you make. The surgery has been life changing for me.
