Canadian Pharmacies/Saving $ on Prescriptions

Because of an upcoming switch in our insurance plan (we have to go to a high deductible, and have to meet the $10k deductible before everything is paid 100%), I am now paying attention to med prices... and whoa...

I'm on Abilify and Lamictal.

I have looked at 'regular' pharmacies - Walgreens, WalMart, etc... but still really high.

I will do what I have to in order to stay on these meds, but if there is any way to get them cheaper, obviously I am going to jump at it!

Has anyone ever ordered from a Canadian pharmacy? I'm talking about the legit ones that require a script and have a 'brick and mortar' building...

I'm just curious and looking for options. Our income isn't low enough to qualify for prescription assistance through the drug companies (we barely met the requirements last year, and hubby got a small raise JUST big enough to put us above... nice).

Or, any other advice RE: cheaper prescription costs...

Thanks :)

You could find out if your state has the Medicaid Buy in for Working People with Disabilities. The coverage limitations on that as regards income generally are within the range of what most people earn and as well the medication coverage provided would not have the deductables that are concerning you.
