No motivation to bathe.

I have a hard time getting myself to bathe on a daily basis. I do it 1 time a week and hate it. I don't know what is going on. It has been like this for about 2 years. I shower 1 time a week and sponge bathe every 2-3 days. I wash my hair every other day. I am diagnosed with Bi-polar, ADD, OCD menopause  and hypothyroid. Does anyone have a medical answer to why this  is happening to me? I don't feel depressed. At least not consistently over the past 2 years. I don't know what keeps me from showering daily. Please help. It's not because I am lazy. I work full-time. Help! Oh. I also a recovering addict and alcoholic. It seems to have started after I was bad into my using and has never changed.

Yes it would depend on what else is happening.. Sometimes taking care of everyday things can be a concern. I have had these concerns when I was depressed, too manic to focus or had the negative symptoms of schizoaffective. The reason would vary from the cause. In general its important to set routines and that can be of help. Soemtimes it can be a matter of concentration and focus. If as you say you hate this it would be worthwhile to think what some reasons might be and discuss it with your psychiatrist.
