How does Thalassemia affect inflammation tests?

Does thalassemia minor ESR and CRP?  I have a family history or hashimotos, sjogrens, and have tested positive for hla-b27, have family members with ankylosing, and have had symptoms of ankylosing and thyroiditis but ESR and CRP are normal.  Can you still have these conditions without inflammation markers?  Also have gastritis without presence of h. Pylori, could it also be autoimmune?
