Is there any risk to chronic 'low grade' anaemia

Hello,

I seem to have chronic low grade anaemia, seen when I do cbc for other things.  This has been obvious for the past few years.  It was much lower during my last pregnancy 2 years ago, but afterwards never got back to the 'normal' range.

For example latest results, which are fairly typical:-
MCV - 77 (range 78-98)
MCH - 25 (Range 27-32)
Sometimes the RDW-CV is outside range, but this time was ok (13.5%, range 10-15).

Is this something that should be looked at further / investigated, or it's close enough to normal not to be a concern?

I am a 43 yo female.  I am diabetic (using insulin since my first pregnancy 5 1/2 years ago, and hypothyroid since 2000).

I hope you get a reply from someone who has experienced the same type condition and has accumulated experience to share.. or perhaps a doctor will provide medical answer.

I am neither, but I believe the range is desired but you are so close that if you have no troublesome symptom, things you feel, you may be "close enough"  I hope you have discussed with your doctor, anything I suggest is in error if it disagrees with your doctor's advice/diagnosis.

Good luck, and hope you get something more comforting - at least you know your post is being read.
