Thank tou for your help. The allergy doctor says my hemoglobins are at 520 and should be at least 700, and this is allowing chronic bronchitis. Infection can not be overcome at this point,on antibiotics and prednasone constantly, with no success. Reccomends blood transfusions or "HIZENTRA", blood product, as only answer to build hemoglobins? I'm on good vitamins and eating well, he says that won't work in and of itself. Certainly, not soon enough? I can understand his desire to get infection under control now.Could it also be possible I need a lung test[forgot name], to see what specific virus as I have,  had MRSA in the past? Thanking You in Advance

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
For boosting up the hemoglobin count you have to take an iron and vitamin B 12 and folic acid rich diet. You can have iron rich foods like liver, lean red meats, beans like kidney, lima, navy, black, pinto, soy beans, and lentils, iron fortified whole grains, green vegetables like spinach, tofu, broccoli, swiss chard, asparagus, parsley, chicken, nuts, egg yolk and dry fruits.
Non vegetarian diet is rich in vitamin B 12 and should be taken regularly. In addition, eat lots of fruits and vegetables especially green leafy vegetables. They are a rich source of folic acid. Other food sources of folic acid are breakfast cereals, fortified grain products, lentils, beans, asparagus and spinach.
You can also have iron and vitamin supplements along with these foods.
