Facial Nerve Shwannoma?

One month ago I went to my family doctor concerned about a "numbing" of sorts all over my body.  She was concerned and sent me to a neurologist who in turn had non contrasting MRI's done for my head and neck, nerve conduction test on my legs and a host of blood work.  This was all completed the week of October 18th, and I am not scheduled to see the neurologist again till the 19th of December.

My current symptoms are as follows:
All facial sensations are on both sides of my face and head

Facial burning sensations
Facial heaviness, most especially my eye brows
Facial itching sensations, pins and needles
Facial numbness
Crawling sensations over my entire body, most severely, my face
Intermittent burning patches on my arms and fingers
Complete loss of skin sensation (numbing) from my neck to my feet
The hair on my arms and eyebrows will rise up for no apparent reason, and I believe the hair in my ears does as well, as they itch with each episode.
Fullness in my right ear, presenting with that one now for over 8 years (tried every decongestant on the market, but it won't go away), but the strange part now is, when I cover that ear and hum, I do not hear my voice on that side of head. (You know, like covering up your ears and talking, you can hear your voice inside of your head)

Symptoms DO NOT have:
Pain
Headaches
Dizziness
Lack of coordination

Having recently been laid off from a start up company, the symptoms appear to have worsened so I began reading some literature online and found my symptoms fall in line with facial nerve swhannomas?

Is it possible this may be what is bothering me?
Do you think the neurologist would have called me by now if it were serious?

I appreciate any suggestions anyone may have or anyone that is experiencing the same thing

Thanks for your response!

Yes, the cranial nerve 7 is responsible for the facial issues.  A Shwannoma is a benign tumor that can take many many years to cause symptoms.  Typically, from my reading and investigation, they begin in the ear region and as they enlarge, they can cause a loss of hearing.  In some cases they grow on the 7th nerve and effect the face.  I truly hope that I have a pinched nerve!

Thanks again, and yes I posted this, after I discovered the neurological form, there too.

I don't know what a swhannoma is. That's a new one for me. I'm glad you don't have pain and headaches.
So many things can affect the nerves, including demyelination, tumors, subluxations, or even just a deficiency of B vitamins.
It's possible you may have a lesion affecting a cranial nerve. There are twelve pairs of cranial nerves that are part of the peripheral nervous system. I think it is cranial nerve VII
that would cause the symptoms you describe.
I have no medical training. You might want to post your question in the neurology forum also.
Have you talked to a chiropractor about this? It almost sounds like a "pinched nerve".

It is good that you are seeking help for these symptoms now, as this sounds like something that may worsen without treatment.

Good luck to you.
