Sounds like a nasty infection. I would also go see an infectious disease guy maybe to see if they need to take swaps to make sure you don't have a staph infection. I know it took me forever to heal after surgery.
Yes, you are entitled to copies of everything they do. Just ask for them. I'm glad the antibiotics are starting to help. Don't tear the scab off! It will take longer to heal and you risk infection.
I'm glad to hear you're seeing a seizure specialist! But what do you mean, you have a long, hard week ahead? You shouldn't push yourself! Just rest, as much as you can.
Let us know what your seizure doc says. Now go have a nap.
hi enzymelover, good to hear from you to. the thing is i just had sticthes. i never had staples and my neurosurgeons nurse took the sticthes out. i had found and removed 2 or 3 over the first year. i swear if i could see the spots i would dig them out myself. the spots get red and swell at one time i could feel something that felt like a sticth . i have went threw so many family doctors they hear all my problems and tell me im depressed and its just anexity and wont treat me and waste my time and money. the antibotics are helping some my gums are starting to go down . if i tear the scab off my scar i can press and make it ozz out. can i get copys of my visit at the er? i had 3 seizures in 24hrs and had a ct scan do they give copys of those? im gona try because i go to a seizure spealist next week .i praying i feel better before i got a busy long hard week next week. thanks for your help and advice.
Hi! Good to hear from you. That swelling sounds terrible! Why can't you get a break?
The ER doc probably should have removed the staple, if at all possible, and written a report for the neurosurgeon, who thinks there's nothing there.
Are the antibiotics helping at all? If this is a serious infection, you can't wait till Oct. 7 to see a doc. You may need a different antibiotic. Go back to your family doc tomorrow if you're not a whole lot better. Pester him for better treatment. Maybe you need a shunt to drain the fluid.
