High Prolactin but opposite symptoms.

Good Evening,

I am a 21 year old male who had prolactin levels of 36 and later 28 (both tests taken within two months). I will be getting an brain MRI this friday to see if I have a tumor. I did want to know if there could be something else that is causing this. Testosterone level was 670.

My overall body symptoms:
Premature Ejaculation
High Libido
Get erection very easily
Acne/Very oily skin
Hyperhidrosis (I get very very sweaty in my hands, back/butt, forehead, feet, pretty much the whole body)
Every meal causes intense amount of gas (belly grows greatly)
Possibly have glaucoma. Retinal imaging tests need to be taken every year to see if I do have it.
Received a brain MRI in 2009 for loss of vision...Neuro said it was aura migraines (I agree with that too, sympotoms are exactly as he stated).

Basically, I want to know if there is something else that could be causing all these symptoms.

Thank You!

I think that is normal.
Bodies just vary. Talk to your doc if you are worried.

Quick Update:
My results for all my hormones came back and it turns out I have macroprolactins in my blood which cause an elevated prolactin level. Supposedly they are asymptomatic, however, I still have puffy nipples. Any ideas?

I don't know if what you did as a kid counts.

Dreams are normal from all that I know. The nipples think - they are normal as well. So, overall, I would think that you are normal based on what you are saying.

Hope the endo is helpful!

Update: Had my MRI done last week. Results came back with no micro or macro adenoma detected. Results were also checked with 2009 MRI. No evidence for that. Doctor suggests making an appoinyment with endocrinologist which i will do. But my gut feeling is telling me that my symptoms are definitely related. I also get wet dreams sometimes, and I did overmasturbate when I was younger. Possibly, cause this? I do have puffy nipples too.

Migraines are quite common with pituitary problems if you have one - but they happen without them as well.

If your MRI does show something, I suggest you find a pituitary center. You should get more testing. Thyroid can also impact prolactin as well as many many other things.

Cortisol is also known to impact the eyes a lot but mostly cataracts and weak eye muscles.

Do keep us posted.
