My MRI

I had an MRI and it diagnos that I have a one or two foci of abnormal signal intensity within the more peripheral portion of the corona radiata and centrum semiovale without involvement of the subcortical U-fibers, the etiology of which is nonspecific but most likely ischemic. Also note is made of minimal inflammatory in the paranasal sinuses. please I need to know what does this mean. My appoinment with the doctor still in 10 days and I am so worry I need to understand what I have.

Thank a lot.

If you had not even noticed before...
I know you are scared as I have had a lot of scans that had weird things but the way this one is worded is that it is "possible", they are small, and that the guy reading it just noticed something, but was not sure - as in non-specific.

I have no idea why you had the MRI - but the way that one was worded, I hope you can come to terms and soon not worry so much.

No but the report says likely and they are not sure. They could have been small and in areas where it could not have been so noticed.

Thank you for your respond, are you a doctor? I never been told that I had any stroke before. How did you guess about that did you face similar situation before?

You may have a sinus infection (inflammation in the paranasal sinuses).

The foci refer to a couple of areas that may have been old strokes (most likely ischemic) but is otherwise non-specific.

Your doctor will explain more in detail - this is just my best guess.
