could this be stroke? please help me

I am 45 years old and I had an MRI and it diagnosed that I have a one or two foci of abnormal signal intensity within the more peripheral portion of the corona radiata and centrum semiovale without involvement of the subcortical U-fibers, the etiology of which is nonspecific but most likely ischemic. Also note is made of minimal inflammatory in the paranasal sinuses. please I need to know what does this mean. My appoinment with the doctor still in 10 days and I am so worry I need to understand what I have. I been told that this mean that I hade two previous strokes could this realy be a stroke? and if it is what to do to prevent it from hapening again. and how danger if it happened again. I always hear that the third time could cause death is this true?

Thank a lot.
