halo of pressure

The last few months I've been experiencing a halo of pressure surrounding my head. Recently, I discovered a soft lump where the pressure starts from. Now I also have shooting pains from that area. I experience bouts of dizziness and blurred vision. Pain killers do nothing for it.

Is this something very serious?
