Is your endo a neuro-endo at a pituitary center?
Your other symptoms may or may not be related to your tumor - you could have something else unrelated to your tumor? Also, if they started after the meds, have you consulted your pharmacist - they may know something as well.
I am really glad you posted this. I started taking Cabergoline 6 months ago for PCOS and have had a bunch of weird side effects since then, including electric shocks all over my body that feel more like hitting your funny bone than actual pain, chest pain that radiates up my neck to my jaw (happened one time), occasional chest pain in the center of my chest, and temporary blurry vision. My endo said I am on too low of a dose to cause this (one half tab twice per week) and had me do an EKG which came out normal. Your post concerns me since my endo did not have any explanation whatsoever for these side effects and could not tell me if they were serious or not. Now I am thinking of switching back to bromocriptine, which had its own bad side effects... Does anyone else know of any other long-term or dangerous effects of Cabergoline/Dostinex?
hi i was taking cabergoline for 6 years and after 4 years started to suffer side affects and other things . i now have 3 leaking heart valves and know for a fact that high doses ov cabergoline can cause valvuler cadiomyopathy / regurgitation . plz discuss this with your doctor and try other meds . they are saying smaller doses dont cause this but i was on 2 tabs a week for years and now have the valve problem and an svt and chest pain and palpatations and flutters and thuds in my chest and heart . it is scary stuff and hope nobody else has the same problem frm taking this medication ..............you should also know that it is now compulsary for a yearly echo to be done if you take this medication lol wat does that tell you . any way if any body has suffered the same problems could you leave a message for me it would be nice to know im not the only one thank you for reading this
Can you please explain what you mean by 40% bloody - did you have an apoplexy?
Is your tumor getting larger with medications?
There are different medications - as well, if it cannot be controlled with medications, then surgery will have to be considered.
I had the surgery - it was not so bad.
