I can imagine that you are confused and with two separate issues, it is no wonder.
It sounds like you have an AVM or something along those lines, and something on the pituitary. Frankly, it is very unusual to have multiple cysts on the pit.
From my research, radiation is not the primary treatment for a pituitary lesion as it can damage the rest of the pituitary function - so it is used when the function is already lost. The usual methods depend on the type of lesion - so it may be medications or surgery.
First a lot of testing has to be done by a neuro-endocrinologist to determine the effects, and then treatment can be determined.
Hi- sorry that you find yourself here :(
These are two different things. I don't know about the tangled blood veins but I do know a bit about the pituitary gland. I had a cyst in my pituitary gland and then had surgery.
Hopefully you are seeing a neuroendocrinologist for hormonal issues. You are possibly low in some of the pituitary hormones, if the cysts are blocking function.
And then you should also be consulting with a pituitary neurosurgeon re the cyst(s)
This is to seek advice as to whether these should be removed and the best way to do this. It all depends on the size, where they are located in the gland. For example if the optic nerve or carotid arteries are involved the doctors will approach removal in a way to not cause more damage.
So what kind of advice do you need? Do you already have doctors that you trust?
If you could be more specific it would help me (or others) to help you.
