brain tumors

by kimmers23, Jun 10, 2008 02:14PM
I was diagnosed two weeks ago with a brain tumor.  The tumor is about the size of a golf ball and has grown through/into the carotid artery and into the optic nerve.  My neurosurgeon is unable to do the surgery because it is too complex.  However, he is looking for someone who can do it, but it is taking him a long time and I am having no communication with him.  He hasn't called me back, and I have talked to him in over a week.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to whom I should contact or ather steps that I should take?  Thank you

It sounds like you've been through a lot.  Do you know what type of tumor you have (i.e. is it a meningioma, or schwanomma)?

Hello.  My husband has been dealing with a glioblastoma brain tumor since Nov. 07 when diagnosed.  Since than we have had ssurgery, radiations, 3 rounds of chemo, do the Budwig cottage cheese protocol and take supplements, in addition to much prayer.
You may wish to contact UCLA Dr. Liau or possibly Cedars Sinai Dr. Black (have heard good things about him).  Please let me knlow if I can offer further assistance.
