I was Dx'd with ADH back in Feb. I had the biopsy and then surgery in March. They determined, NO CANCER which i am thankful for. After 3 weeks, my incision opened and started draining. I went to the surgeon, who cleaned it out and put this medicine in it. He said this was due to internal stitch, but could not grab it to pull it out. (disolvable stitches) My surgery was on the outside of the breast. I questioned why most of the inside of my breast was red and around the nipple discolored, tan looking. His statement to me was "that has nothing to do with this" Went to see him for this again a week later, same thing, ignored my questions. so went to see my regular doctor who did a culture, came back NEG, but put me on 875 mg antibiotics as he felt i had an infection. I am done with the abx's, but am still red and still discolored around the nipple.
So, my questions is: if you had this surgery, did his happen to you and WHAT is causing it? If the surgeon would give me even a simple answer of "it is just the healing process due to what had to be removed" i would accept that i think. But it is now almost 10 weeks since my surgery and this concerns me. I am almost ready to go see another surgeon, just to try to get answers.
Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
