Breast Bruise

I had a green bruise about one inch in size show up on the lower breast.  There is no pain with it.  I don't remember hitting it.  Should I be concerned?

I have the bruise now.  I noticed it three days ago.  There has been no change.  There isn't a lump.  I got out of the shower and looked in the mirror and it was there.  I do wear underwire bras and I wear very tight exercise bras to run.  My guess is a bruise but the thought of something worse is always there.   Thanks for replying.

Hi,
A bruise appears when there is bleeding under the skin. The most common cause is trauma/ bumping it and not even be aware how and when it happened. If you are wearing an under-wire bra this could also be the cause. You seem to be implying that you "had" this bruise, but you don't say if it's getting better or it has disappeared. If it's no longer there, and there is no lump that you can feel, then it's more likely than not, that you did bump your breast and don't remember, like most of us women do.
If the bruise is not fading,I would advise you to see your doctor for a clinical breast exam to make sure that there isn't an underlying problem.
Take care....
