Cysts in breast parenchyma

I had an ultrasound and mammo today with reslult of 'cysts in the breast parenchyma' then in the conclusion 'No evidence of malignancy'. I am 35 and have had 2 benign lumps removed from that breast and my mother died of breast cancer at 41. I have not had this result before, do I need to worry? I know it says no evidence of malignancy but I am just a touch nervous.

Thank you for your reply, I do the SBE at least twice a month, on the 1st and the middle that way i am sure i have done it. i do not get my period as i had to have a hystorectomy a few years ago. I am a little more at ease today, just a bit anxious i guess!!  :)

Hi,
I don't think that you have anything to worry about. Both tests concluded that no "malignancy" was found.
Since you have a family history of breast cancer,it does put you at a higher risk, but it doesn't mean that you will also develop breast cancer.
You have to be vigilant though and have your breasts checked out regularly by your doctor. It's very important that you do SBE ( Self Breast Exam) monthly, after your period ends, to detect any lump that might appear.
Please don't worry...you are just fine.
All the best to you...
