Thanks my dear,
How is your chemo going? Just count down and trust in the Lord and you will be fine.
As far as my situation -- Iwent for second opinion and decided to continue treatment with this new oncologist. She changed to Oral chemo theraphy , on for 2 weeks and off for one week. I haven't have a great deal of nausea or voomiting. In two weeks she will be checking my tumor marker levels. I am trusting the Lord that this will work. if not we will try something else.
I am thankful for each new day and for the fact that I can still work full time.
Be blessed
Maggie
I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I jus came across your post and want you to know that I have a strong feelin that you are gonna be just fine. I am praying for you. God tells us that he makes wrong things right and I know he is gonna work in your favor to make this right. God bless.
Be well,
Your sister in the fight
Thanks for your input. I spoke with another oncologist to get a second opinion. She is currently reviewing my pet report and will be getting back to me. My current oncologist insists that I continue Abraxane because she was only administering a lower dose due tomy lowered immunity(172mg instead of375mg). However I agree with you as this sounds like a better option. Also They had stopped my hormone therapy and most studies show that hormone conjunction with Zometa seem to work better.
Thank you so much.I will also check that web site. Your last sentence is such an inspiration to me. For God has blessed me and willcontinue to bless me with his strength and grace.
Thanks
Maggie
Hi there!
I'm sorry to hear this. It's really hard to battle a disease that seems to be always one step ahead of us. The PET scan that is showing progression is sign that your cancer maybe resistant to the Abraxane. Your tumor markers also concurs with this. I suggest you discuss with your oncologist regarding shifting to a different chemotherapy or enrollment in clinical trials (there are lots going on right now).
You can check with the website of the NCI about ongoing clinical trials after you have discussed this with your doctor.

Be strong, I know you can get through this. God bless...
