Enlarged Lymph node for over 2 months

Is been 2 months since I felt a lump under my arm, when i was check I had an enlarged lymphnode of 2.7cm x 1.9cm under my rightarm, it showed in a sonogram n in a MRI as well. I seen different Doctors at the VA hospital which they all explain it should be removed for furhter studies as the MRI recommends but the surgeon said "NO" to give it more time cause he knew it was inflamatory, because of my history of complaint of it hurts and I feel a burning sensation "he knows is inflamatory!!!" I been on antibiotics and antiflamatories for two months now and Im still in pain, sometimes I feel those sensations of burning in my other axilla n even on my bikini area , but I havent felt a lump anywhere else. as a matter of fact my lump disappear the first week right before i did the MRI which I thought I didnt have anything, but It was still there !! Should I just wait until this surgeon decides or is this normal?Thank you!

Dear Latinalady:  Without evaluation, it is impossible for us to speculate on whether this lump should be removed.  However, if you are getting conflicting opinions, it may be worth while, getting a second surgical opinion.  You will need to take your MRI films as well as a list of all the antibiotics you have taken.
