WHY the FORUM is TEMPORARILY CLOSED

The Cleveland Clinic is reviewing the process they use for responding to questions in this forum.  They are trying to make sure that they provide the best possible information.

I believe they also closed "temporarily" the ovarian cancer Forum :(

I'm wondering if it isn't a legal liability issue.

esri, if cost were an issue I don't understand why they didn't just change it to a pay site. When they did that on the gastro board it happened overnite. I have posted several questions on there and have paid for my answers. The least they could do is offer an explanation.

I am very disappointed in the way this "temporary" closing of the board is being handled.  Does anyone have an "800" number that you could post so we could call the Cleveland Clinic to get some answers?  Thanks, Susan

Yes, this is very confusing. closing a forum overnite that didn't seem to have any problems just doesn't sound like a good thing to do. CCF Drs. are still answering questions on some the other med-help forums. Why do you ask us for our opinions and input and then not respond with any type updates? Why not just tell us what is really going on here?

Not sure about that reason.

Before, when they changed a free forum to a pay forum, it happened overnight, literally.  So I'm wondering why it is closed for so long this time.

I'm not sure the "explaination" really has explained anything! Cindy, can you be more specific?  Has someone quarreled with the type of information provided?  Is the CC worried about legal liability?  Are they trying to find a replacement for the person/s who answered before?

Roughly when do you expect the forum to be opened?  What about contacting "surgeon" to help answer questions in the meantime?

Just be honest! I think they decided to close this Forum because it was free to post a question, whereas you have to pay in some of the other forums.
At least clarify this issue :(

Your Forum has been very informative.  I also do not see how it can be improved.  It is the best breast cancer forum I have found.    I also would like to see a few more questions posted, but if you do not have time to answer others,  THANKS for what you do now!

I can't imagine how you could improve the forum. I personally have gained much from it in the past and now read it daily. I'm sure many would think you should allow more questions each day before the forum is closed but that would be impossible. We should all appreciate what we have here ..... it is VERY VALUABLE to us all. Thank You !!!

In the meantime, is it possible for the forum to be open, too allow patient to patient support type communications?
