Location of the Lump

First of all I just wanted to say that this is a great service that you are providing...Thank you.  My question is about location of lumps.  When you find a lump, is there a more prominent location in the breast that is more likely to be cancerous (like close to lymphnodes, etc.)?

Thank you again...

Dear Tesch:  There is not a location of lumps within the breast that is more likely to be cancerous.

breast cancer can occur in any part of the breast; however, the upper outer portion is statisticially the part of the breast where more cancers occur. But any lump needs a plan for evaluation, no matter where it is.
