Lymph Nodes

I quess this would be my topic. I have had  mammograms every year and it has been normal. I am sixty now and I had a mamogram a few months ago and it was fine. I was worried a little because I have been having pain in my armpits in both arm areas. It's also tender down the side area of my body. I thought after hearing that my mammogram was OK I thought I was OK. This feeling has continued so I went back to my Gynocologist and she said she didn't feel anything and that I should get a support bra. She also gave me a print out about menopause and what happens. I really felt she could have talked to me more. I thought this was all in my head and I should just let it go. It still bothers me and I feel like I should do something. I have really kept the same weight but I feel I have gotten larger around my breast area. I have kept the same cup but got larger around. I still have to get a support bra. I just want to know if I should get another opinion even though my mammogram was fine. Jeannie

Dear Jeannie49,  It is difficult to be able to reassure you completely over the internet without benefit of physical examination and evaluation.  As you are still concerned about this you may want to revisit your concerns with your doctor who can advise in context of you entire situation.

I feel that I should go back to my primary doctor. I heard you should listen to your body. If you feel like something is not right you should keep checking it out. I wasn't satisfied with my gynocologist. If it ends up just to be swelling. I guess I should find out what is causing the swelling and the pain. I have never experience this before and I need to know. I want to thank you for your opinion.
