May your son be healed from the pneumonia. So glad your mom is fine. Praying for both. God Bless you today and all the following days.
Praying for you with all my heart. May God be with you in all your troubles, may He comfort you always.
JoyGirl - I hope your son and mom are ok. You need less stress in your life.
maa and labhusky - You're in my prayers daily. When you're feeling down, imagine all of us on this thread giving you a gigantic hug.
boninclyde - the hug is for you, too! I can tell you've really researched reconstruction. The info you gave was a surprise to me, but makes sense.
Breast problems are scary and do need to be checked out. But, it's a good sign that the nurse thinks it is cystic. Also, if a lump was caused by your fall, it should be benign. Waiting is tough. Hope you get some answers tomorrow.
Thanks for sharing your experiences;
I have had mammos regularly. Always fine. Until this year when they made me come back for additional mammos. They found a shadow above the nipple of left breast. They magnified two times. Then, Tech came back saying '' all is normal. Free to go. see you next year for regular mammo" . When they found the shadow, I told them about something I forgot to mention to my doctor. 3 months before doing my annual mammo I fell on my left breast on a metallic chair. The shock was so intense that I almost fainted. After that a bruise showed on the left side of my breast. By the time I went to the mammo the bruise was gone. Anyway, they said the shadow they saw was not at the location of the injury but above my nipple. In any event, they said that mammo turned out to be NORMAL. 3 months later, while I was showering, I felt a lump in the same breast (left side of the breast at the exact location of the injury). I panicked and drove to the Emergency room. I was seen by a Nurse who touched the lump said "it seems like a cystic mass". But they can do nothing at the Emergency R. It is Saturday. I have to go to the Breast Center Monday. I am scarred to death. Have anybody experienced this situation where a fall or shock is involved? It's a weekend from hell.
Please share your thoughts. Thanks
Thank you for the advice. Yes, my mom is 15 minutes away and I take her grocery shopping every weekend. I will tell her but not until sometime after at least the first Dr visit. Im kind of feeling better about my dx but it sure is an inconvenience to say the least, and it makes me feel so much for Tammy and people like her with similar issues. A bit overwhelming!!!
I certainly hope and pray your son is recovering well from that nasty ailment, and with all the anxiety with your mom Im sure you were both relieved at that dx and are ABLE to sleep. That is a blessing!! I have been doing better at that myself. Plus getting out and walking everyday I think helps me too. Did 2.5 miles today again. Nothing like something like this to kick one in the rear to get them moving again and really appreciating being able to do it. I have been wanting to join a Y with a personal trainer too.
This "little" experience makes me want to get out and live alot more. I have been such a recluse all my life and now I just want to get this out of the way and run the other way.
