Dear Ely56:  It is not uncommon to be called back for a density on a mammogram.  It could be as simple as tissue that has folded over on itself and this will resolve with compression.  An ultrasound may be ordered to further characterize the area if necessary.

A breast density can be as simple as some tissue folded over on itself creating a shadow on Mammogram. A call back isn't all that unusual for a repeat which will concentrate on a specific area. An Ultraound is often ordered in such cases to further define the cause of the density. Breasts also tend to become dense as we age. I wouldn't get too stressed just yet.  Regards

Hello

I went for my 2nd Mamogram and sonogram on my rt breast they said they found something suspicious and I need to go for a biopsy it is 7cm and the shape of a star.
How long after I go for the Biopsy do I need to wait for the results?  And what happens then?
