Your symptoms sound very much like IBC (inflammatory breast cancer).  This is a rare breast cancer that is sometimes very hard to diagnose. My partner was just diagnoded with it and she has all the symptoms you mentioned.  The 'itching' with swelling & reddness sounds like IBC to me, as these are the very classic signs, please be persistant with your docs, and good luck.                        lotsofhumor

I went to the doctor recently with breast pain.  I was sent for a mammogram and called back the following day for another one.  I was then told that something had shown up and was sent to a breast surgeon. He did a biopsy and the results were that I had lobular neoplasia. The mass was removed and now I've been told that I have to be monitored everythree months and have my blood checked. I still have the pain that brought me to the doctor in the first place.  He doesn't know why. Can anyone tell me why, and what are my chances of developing breast cancer in the future?

Dear sheep:  Without examination, it is impossible to speculate as to the cause of your swelling and discomfort.  You may want to have this conversation with your surgeon.  If you do not feel comfortable with the explanation, you might consider a second opinion with a medical breast specialist.  These specialists are usually located in large academic medical centers.
