I had positive results!!! NO CANCER. Fibroid tissue, some hyperplasic cells, but from what my dr says, nothing to worry about. Thanks for all of the support
I too am waiting on biopsy results. I had core biopsy yesterday and it was very painful. I have constant pain in my left breast, that is what made me go into the doctor to find out what was going on. The waiting is hard,.... I know how you feel, how we all feel. Stay positive!!!!!!
Hi. I just posted my biopsy story today. I had both breasts with calcifications and had the needle biopsy on both sides. Then, a few weeks later I had the surgical biopsy on only the left side since pathology reported abnomalities. They call my "condition" ADH - Atypical Ductal Hyperplasia. This means the cells form abnormally and they need to be surgically removed. After the needle biopsy and surgical biopsy procedures I too had many days with NO sleep and constantly distracted at work, etc. I have a 2 year old baby and would like another baby if God will see it in his plan for my family. I am only 37 yrs old. Hang in there and the chances of having cancer are normally very low. So, let us know what you find out. You don't want to spend precious time (that most of don't have much of) worrying if you don't have to. Just find really good doctors and follow their protocol.
Good luck.
Waiting for biopsy results is extremely stressful! If you are having major stress reactions, such as a lot of fast heartbeating, maybe high blood pressure, anxiety feelings almost all the time...etc, you might try to get a few pills to reduce the anxiety. Ask your doc or whoever is on call to prescribe just a few to get you through the weekend. Take them to take the edge off while you're waiting. Good luck!
Dear jbird25: Even with reviewing the mammogram, it is impossible to speculate on whether this might or might not be cancer. The only way to know is to biopsy. Unfortunately, it will take a little bit of time for results. The bleeding and soreness are not uncommon and will improve in time. Hopefully, you will find out sooner rather than later.
