tenderness and burning around both breasts....worried

Very worried.  I just had a partial hysterectomy 4 and a half weeks ago with both ovaries removed due to stage IV endometriosis.   I have always had fibrocystic breasts with lumps/pain that came and went with cycle.  I also had a fibroadenoma removed 5 years ago.  I am 39, have three children, breast fed them all and no family history of breast cancer.  I am not taking HRT yet due to endo.  My worry is that about four months ago I had swollen lymph node under my right arm that was sore and stayed about a month.  It seems to have gone away but now I am having constant burning and tenderness around each breast...not in them.  Please, I can't go through another scare (they thought endo was advanced ovca) and need some positive words.  I see my obgyn on Wednesday.  Does this sound like cancer? OR...more likely hormone changes due to loosing ovaries?  Can anyone help me get through the next few days?

Dear lizza:  Cancer of the breast usually present as a painless lump,or as a density or clustered calcifications on mammography.  The burning and tenderness you describe could be many things.  You should discuss your symptoms and concerns with your gynecologist for further assessment and workup.

a node that goes away is not cancer. Burning sensation around both breasts is also nearly certainly not cancer; even less so given your recent hormone changes. Bottom line: it's EXTREMELY unlikely to be anything serious.
