Clomid is a big pain in my ovaries!

Hello everyone!  Right now I'm on cd29/4dpo on my 2nd round of clomid, and I'm getting some sharp pains in my right ovary area.  With the pain I had during ovulation I'm thinking this is the side I ovulated from this cycle...not sure it's related... Last cycle I can't remember if I had this same problem, but while on clomid I have had a lot of discomfort in my lower stomach area off and on.  Has anyone else had this sharp pain?  And does anyone know what it's all about?  Thanks for any info!!  x

Hi honey i did 3 cycles of clomid and i had cramping in my stomach low down all the way throught the cycles, and near ovulation time until well after i actually ovulated i got sharp pains in my ovaries. It is caused by ovulation but i also had mild OHSS caused by the clomid.I had fluid leaking hence causing the extra pain.I always had ovulation pain every month anyway. We are all different and we all have different symptoms thats why its so difficult to compare with other women.Hope i was helpfull hun SSBD Bev xx

Thanks for your response!  Not really what I wanted to hear...haha!  I only had pain that one day, and with it feeling sharp I thought I'd post it.  Did you have more pain when you had the cyst?  I'm supposed to take clomid for 3 cycles then see my doctor in February.  But I think I'll take next cycle off, and when I go back to my doctor I'll ask about doing the u/s.  From what I've seen on here, you should usually have u/s with clomid to check on everything.  And I've never even thought about the thickness of my lining!  Are your periods really light?  What was your dosage of clomid?
Thanks for the info!

Hey there!  I also had that same issue a couple weeks ago and this was my first round of clomid...I went into the doctor and they did an ultrasound and realized that I had a cyst on my ovary from the clomid.

They also found out that I have very thin endometrial lining...my lining was only 3.26mm on CD20.  I am really confused also because I kept doing the OPK tests and kept getting negative results but she said that since I had a cyst it was more than likely I ovulated??  She never did a blood test or anything to confirm it.  Now I am on CD29 and still no AF...also the last couple days I have had a lot of CM that was slippery and stretchy (TMI!) so I am so confused, could I have ovulated that late in my cycle when I was taking clomid on days 3-7?

I am concerned because I know that it is hard for the egg to implant on a lining that is less than 8mm?  Has anyone every gotten pregnant when their lining was this thin?

Sorry that I kinda went on a tangent!  I would call and see if you have a cyst on your ovary.  Clomid can over-stimulate your ovaries and cause cysts.

Best of luck and baby dust to you!
