Hi,
This is a public forum, where we discuss, in general terms, issues related to cancer or suspected cancer.
Please ask us your questions and we will definitely advise you and also do our best to help you understand the test results.
All the best, and God Bless!
The Liver shows a hyperechoic appearance. It is measuring about 15cm. at the midclavicular line.
The gall bladder shows at least three weakly shadowing echoes of 3.5 to 5.5mm. sizes seen slowly change in location near the fundus. The wall is not thickened.
TVS shows non-visualization, showing a large lobular anechoic structure of about 15.9mm. size within its posterior upper segment. A small nodule of about 4.8mm., size is noted su[eriorly.
The right ovary is visualized, measuring about 4x3.7x2.7cm. small echogenicity foci are noted within its outline.
I would be very grateful if you could interpret this result for me. thank you very much
Hi,
You have had an ultrasound test of the abdomen, and also a trans vaginal sonography (TVS). The report mentioned by you is perhaps the summary of the entire procedure, and I would of course like to know the entire details and background for appropriately interpreting the results. From your brief description, here are the main findings:
The liver measures 15 cm, and the gallbladder has moving shadows which (perhaps) may represent small stones. There is non-visualization of (I presume) the uterus, and there is a small nodule in that area. The right ovary is seen, with (perhaps) follicles within it.
You should undergo a CT scan of the abdomen to determine the cause of your chronic abdominal pain.
Good luck!
Thank you for having time to read what I posted. But I kept on reading about nodules, Is it cancerous if you have one?
Hi,
A nodule is a growth. It may occur because of benign growth of cells, infection, cancer, etc.
In your case, I doubt if cancer is the cause of the nodule. But as I wrote earlier, I would definitely recommend a CT scan in your case.
All the best!
