Pancreatic Cancer?

Hello!

I am 35 years old.

I´ve been expericieng some problems in the last month: my stools are different, vague low abdominal pain and vague back pains. I am very anxious. After read about Cancer Pancreatic I can´t put my mind at rest and started feeling minor itches.

My doctor asked a ultrasound and some blood tests. After the results he said it is fine for Pancreas. Can I rule out Pancreatic Cancer just with an ultrasound?

But I have other problems: 2 stones in my gallblader and minor hepatic steatosis. Also my blood tests showed my glucose (105), cholesterol (245) and triglycerides (220) are high and I can have problem in the future because that.

He said me to take some medices to irritable bowel syndrome and asked to remove the gallblader. And of course, diet and exercises.

But I am very very very anxious and can´t put my mind at rest because my sympthons occurs in Pancreatic Cancer.

Suggestions? Try another exams?

PS) In january I stayed working one month in another country (Middle East) eating different foods. And my sympthons started there.

Thank you for your response.

Dr Santos,

Thank you for your attention. I'm very anxious, think about it all the day!

I visited 2 doctors and did 2 ultrasounds. They told me it is fine, nothing to worry about! They told me it is unecessary to perform CT Scan or MRI.

My complaints are my stools keep soft/broken and I feel vague pain in the upper back (on/off). They told me it can be due to my anxiety.

Also my bilirubin (direct) is 0.19 and the bilirubin (indirect) is 1.14.
No jaundice!

Should I be worried?

Thank you!

Best,

Hi,
How are you?Although diet is a contributing factor, definite diagnosis for pancreatic cancer include other tests such as CT scan/MRI of the abdomen, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound and  pancreatic biopsy. Discuss the result of your tests with your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and best regards.
