Stomach Pain After Stomach Caner Surgery

I had surgery for stomach cancer Feb 5, 2013 and it was determine that the cancer had gotten into my lip nodes. I completed chemo, chemo/radiation and more chemo. Now that my treatment is completed I still have pain on my upper left side and the doctors have not been able to determine the cause. I’ve had EGD, CT, small bowel series, and x-rays.
I am taking 4-5 pain pills (Norco) daily. The pain varies from moderate to severe. Anyone have any other ideas or suggestions this is driving me crazy. I am sick of being in pain. My doctor keep offering me pain pills and
Just a week ago they want to deaden the nerves in that area.  I think they just want me to go away and stop complaining. They can’t fix so they will kill it and I don’t feel good with that. I ask for a consult to find out the risk pros and cons and they scheduled the procedure.
I am not having it done!!!!

Thank you very much for your response. The injection my doctor was trying to give me is for pancreatic cancer with short term survival. I thank God I followed my gut feeling.
She also refused to allow me to get a full body scan from an independent lab. I had it done any way but they were not able to give me a cause for the pain.
I went to pain management yesterday and they prescribed slow release morphine to be taken at night for loner pain release. I asked about getting acupuncture she agreed but it can take up to 3 weeks for approval.
I am not giving up. My primary doctor took me off week for 3 months to try to figure things out. So  can listen to my body and hopefully get some release and answers.
Thanks again

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
I understand your concern and I agree that you should not do something that you are not comfortable with. If medical management is not working, you can also try alternative therapies such as acupuncture for pain management. Talk to your doctor about this also for proper management. Take care and do keep us posted.
