Stomach cancer fear

Hi. I am concerned about stomach cancer. I have suffered from heartburn/indigestion for some months. I am 42 and female. Is it unusual at my age? I had a ct that found 2 small lung nodules and a sclerotic bone lesion in my spine which is probably a bone island according to ct report.  The nodules are beeing followed up but not the lesion. Is mets to bone and lungs a possibility with stomach cancer?
I ha e no pain, weight loss, bloating etc

Hi,
How are you? What other symptoms are present? Stomach cancer may indeed  present with indigestion and stomach discomfort,  bloated feeling after eating, mild nausea, loss of appetite and heartburn. The exact cause of stomach cancer is unknown, but  factors such as gender, genetics, geography, medical issues including H. pylori infection and chronic gastritis as well as lifestyle conditions such as smoking, drinking alcohol, and eating a diet low in fruits and vegetables or high in salted, smoked, or nitrate-preserved foods  can increase the risk of the disease. For proper evaluation and to rule this out, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor. Take care and do keep us posted.

Hi. I have no other symptoms. I am a  smoker and overweight. Is stomach cancer uncommon at 42? My dr does not think an endoscopy is necessary. I am worried that multiple pulmonary nodules are usually mets.

HI,
According to the American Cancer Society, there is a sharp increase in stomach cancer rates in people over the age of 50 and most people diagnosed with stomach cancer are between their late 60s and 80s. Regular follow-up with your doctor is highly recommended for monitoring  the nodules and to ease any worry. You may also benefit from a referral to a pulmonologist to clear this out. Take care always and let me know if you have additional queries. Best regards.
