Stupid question

I have a stupid question but I am needing an answer
I have had family members die of cancer, one just two weeks ago.  I am very stupid when it comes to cancer, so I have been wondering if cancer can be spread from person to person through blood droplets.  From what I understand cancer is an increase or decrease of blood cells in a specific area of the body.  Right?

Please don't think ill of me but I am wanting to know.

Bob_D is correct. Though Cancer can be a Hereditary disease. So it still doesn't hurt
to do self examinations on yourself every once in a while. The Internet can be very
helpful on how to do these self examinations.

I used a poor choice of words earlier. At any rate, cancer is not an infectious disease, and you can't "catch" it.

Cancer is the uncontrolled proliferation of mutated cells of any kind. I have never heard of anyone catching cancer through the transmission of bodily fluids, including blood, so I believe you have nothing to worry about.
