URQ Pain and elevated ALP showing 74% Liver

I have been having URQ pain and it is not constant but comes and goes, I seem to feel most of it at night especially if I lay on my left side at times. They are doing an EGD and MRCP. I have no other symtoms really. I have had elevated Alkaline Phos levels all other liver is fine. They think it might be a biliary problem. I had my gallbladder removed 08/21/06. The pain mimics gallbladder pain at times too. I know it is not that. Any ideas or has anyone had this problem before.

Thanks!

Hi.  If you've had your gallbladder removed for gallbladder stones, there's a possibility that the right upper quadrant pain you're experiencing is a recurrence of stones on the remaining bile duct. The EGD and ERCP are the right procedures to do to investigate this.
