I was diagnosed with a 4mm hemangioma @ T10 vertebrae 8/07. I was told by doc not to worry about it these are benign tumors. However, I have done research on these and have found there is NO definitive way to determine a tumor is benign without biopsy. I am at the point now, I am watching til Dec/Jan then I plan to do another MRI. I have quite a bit of pain in my back since I lifted some doors at work (a large number of them). I never had any problems with my back until this, did not even know I had a problem, now I find out about the hemangioma, I have throbbing, pulsating, aching pain in my mid to low back all the time. The docs tell me it's not due to the hemangioma, yet there are no herniations, or tissue damage that has been noted or mentioned to me. I don't understand I feel a lot of pain, sometimes so bad in my mid back, feels as though I can't breath. Has anyone hear of this before?
