Amyloidosis Heart

Hello,
I was diagnosed with AL Amyloidosis and it affects my heart digestive track and anatomic nervous system, I am 64 years old. The bone marrow came back with Light Chain Lambda an 13% plasma cells, I have no lesions on my bones.  I will begin chemo soon after some other testing for peripheral neuropathy testing. I don't know what to expect I think they will give my CyborD (I believe I am saying this right) but I am new to this so I may make a mistake here. I guess I want to know anything that can help or anything that I can share to help someone as well. I may also start on a clinical trial with NEOD001 but this is to be determined as well. What is the latest out there? I am going to U Of Penn in Philadelphia, I don't think I have time for 2nd opinion since my heart is stage III, I still can walk around and go shopping and take pictures (Photography) for a little while so I am in fairly good shape, I do yoga too.
Thank you,
Pat

Ok I will start taking it tomorrow. Most interesting info.I remember reading about Basal temp long ago. I always have low temp anytime they take it low 97's is pretty normal for me but I need to take it consistently the way you described. You give me hope and I'm grateful there are amazing people in the world like you. I have positive things to do now. I wish you and your family the best.

Hi Niko,
Thank you so much for taking the time and giving me this most valuable information. I do have nodules 10 or so on my thyroid they took only the Tsh test and not the ones you mention. I will get on that. I have begun yoga and juicing but will do all you mentioned with my full attention. Thanks again and I hope you stay well. I will also keep you in my prayers. Regards,Pat

You are most welcome Pat.

Here's some more valuable
(I hope) information:

To my opinion, we cannot find a better method to test the thyroid than Dr. Barnes Basal Temperature Test. (there are several versions now).
This was the golden standard in the past and now with all the newer standard thyroid lab tests, there seems to be an epidemic of hypothyroidism, as so many people go undiagnosed and even worse, MISDIAGNOSED!
I have devoted countless of hours, scanning through the studies and groundbreaking work of Dr. Barnes, The Father of Hypothyroidism, lol!
Simply brilliant and way ahead of his time!

Instructions For Taking Basal Body Temperature:
Use an ordinary oral or rectal glass (not digital) thermometer.
Shake down the thermometer the night before, and place it on your nightstand.
The first thing in the morning BEFORE you get out of bed, place the thermometer under your arm for ten(10) minutes.
Record the temperature reading and date right away!
Repeat for 10 days.
Normal Range: 97.6 to 98.2
Averages below that indicate hypothyroidism.
Heavy covers, a pet or partner very close to you in bed may contribute to a higher reading, due to the increased heat, so keep this in mind if you do the test.

Note that in the presence of any infectious conditions  these results may be inaccurate and this could be a problem with chronic low grade infections accompanied by low grade fevers, for the purposes of the temperature testing.

BTW, yoga is a great activity
with numerous benefits.
I just came back from a yoga class, where my daughter is the instructor.

Blessings,
Niko

Hi Pat.
I'm sorry you're going thru all this.
I have defied death a couple times, reversed PTSD and Anxiety totally by immersing myself in natural, holistic and alternative healing methods.
Before, I get carried away-lol!- I'd like to point out that your
condition needs the immediate attention of  conventional doctors, no question about it!
Having said this, to dramatically improve your odds for
a saner, healthier and longer survival, you MUST make radical changes in your life, starting now!
A few pertinent observations:
--Low thyroid function is one of the main underlying causes of
heart disease.
-- Many autoimmune conditions including amyloidosis are linked to hypothyroidism.
Cleansing of cellular debris, including amyloid, and increasing the activation of enzymes are among the main functions of the thyroid hormones
----Source:   Hypothyroidism Type 2, The Epidemic.
                Dr. Mark Starr

--- Standard thyroid tests only indicate serum thyroid hormone levels and NOT thyroid cellular function.
So you could have low thyroid function and yet your lab results indicate otherwise, because your findings are within
normal ranges!
To rule out hypothyroidism, Free T3, Free T4 and Reverse T3
tests are necessary.

Optimize your nutritional intake:
Consume fresh and organic fruits and vegetables.
Eliminate all added sugars, including artificial.
Consume pastured red meat in moderation, fresh low mercury fish, hormone-free fresh free-range farm chicken
and do not buy any processed/ready foods ever again.
Clean out your cupboards and throw out all flour, sugar,
cookies, ready mixes, chips, cookies etc.
Walk everyday, as long as your body allows you.
Meditate and pray daily!
Start doing juicing, take high quality wide spectrum
probiotics and enzymes, essiac tea (great anticancer
and detox properties) 2oz 2 x daily with equal amount of spring water you make from the original herbal blend at home.
I get mine from StarWest Botanicals, Sacramento, CA
Fresh flax seed oil (refrigerated) mixed well into organic cottage cheese makes a powerful snack, which helps
increase oxygenation in your cells.
Avoid tap water and consume plenty of spring water, 1 hour away from meals.
Keep your diet low glycemic and alkaline, as much as possible!
Best wishes,
Niko
